A plan de progression is a structured program that increases a funded trader’s account size over time based on consistent performance and payout milestones. Instead of staying on the original account size after passing the challenge, a trader on a scaling plan can grow the account through a series of defined thresholds, giving them access to larger position sizes and higher potential profits as their track record develops.
Most scaling plans tie account size increases to specific criteria such as a set number of successful payout cycles, a minimum profit percentage across multiple months, or a defined period without a rule breach. A trader on a $100,000 account might scale to $150,000 after two consistent months, then to $200,000 after another, and so on up to a maximum defined by the firm. Some plans also increase the profit split at each tier, moving from 80/20 at the base to 90/10 or higher at senior levels.
