Firms that measure drawdown against balance only apply the change once positions are closed.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>How is market value calculated for a leveraged position?<\/b>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Market value is calculated on the full position size, not just the margin used to open it.
